Scouts in Peril

The liberals and gays are at it again.(see footnote)  In the city of Philadelphia, Pa., (The Cradle of Liberty) the city council is trying to evict the local Council of the Boy Scouts of America from a building they themselves built 80 years ago.  The scouts pay a nominal $1.00 per year  on a hundred year lease.  They have twenty years left on the lease.  But this apparently means nothing to the City Council because they are determined to hike the rent to $200.00.00!  The liberals on the City Council claim that the scouts cannot occupy the building if the lease doesn't have a nondiscrimination clause and since the scouts will not allow gay scout leaders, they claim a legal right to evict the scouts.  It always amazes me to see just how intolerant these hypocritical hucksters of tolerance really are.

I am a former Boy Scout from the 1950's era.  Anyone who would deny the Scouts the chance to positively influence young boys in their community needs to have their head examined.  But, then again, these are the same morons who embraced Midnight Basketball as a solution to their growing gang problems.  The Boy Scouts of America is not a charity organization that sucks money from donors and never gives in return.  The BSA enhances civilization and teaches leadership skills to youngsters, not only on the local level, but on a world-wide scale.  My wonderful experiences with the Boy Scouts of America, and later the Explorer Scouts (for older boys and young men) were and are invaluable to me.   The skills I learned in the BSA gave me the ability to not only survive in extremely difficult conditions but showed me how to help others.  I was able to teach others common sense things like map reading, cooking, finding edible foods, and building shelters.  The BSA taught me first-aid, and yes, I even learned how to sew buttons and darn socks.  I was taught to have a healthy respect and deep regard for our country and, by example, the value of friendship.  Thanks to the Scouts I learned the importance of teamwork.  We had Jews, Buddhists, Catholics, Protestants and doubters in our troop.  We worked and played as one unit and as a result won many ribbons and badges.  All these learned skills made me a natural leader in the military. (I know liberals hate that)

Liberals have succeeded by incremental steps to infiltrate government from the grass roots on up.  They only need to invoke some imagined "rights" to make the conservatives dance to their tune.  I want to see somewhere in our Bill of Rights where it says a person's sexual preferences shall be a determining factor in social policies.  It is frightening to see how powerful socialism has become in this country.  The Rule of Law does not apply to these people.  They will do whatever it takes by any means necessary to carry out their agenda.  To wit:  Their attempt to disrupt and overturn the election of GW Bush in favor of Al Gore.  The Constitution is treated as if it were yesterday's old newspaper, and is irrelevant in this liberal vision of Utopia.   Popular notions and ideas and current ideologies  will dictate how we will live in the future.  I can only wonder when their 'Little Red Book' will be published as required reading, first in the public schools, then for the general population.

We are truly entering the new Dark Ages and America had better wake up now before we are totally engulfed in darkness.
